Abstract

Modern Tamil prose differs greatly from the Tamil prose that was written on palm leaflets in the past centuries. Today there is great discrimination in following norms while writing. Although many variations are the result of carelessness on the part of writers and printers, some also show the resilience of contemporary Tamil. The works that appeared in Tamil have expressed scientific facts and discoveries and revealed the purpose and direction of life. Va. Tenappan’s ideals of social analysis are the base of his fiction. The structure of society for objectification in his works is creative and valuable. The purpose of the paper is to understand the creative style used by Va. Tenappan in his fiction. Style is the expression of a creator's personality. A stylistic perspective is useful for understanding the wholeness of work and the individuality of the author, making it the ideal of good writing. Present memories, past thoughts, and future expectations in fiction are according to the change of time. Va. Tenappan’s turmoil and emotions can be seen in his works. Literary research requires a great deal of knowledge to examine the language of the writer. Va. Tenappan’s language uses language to express his thoughts, emotions and opinions according to his style. His techniques are engaging, innovative and effective. A writer's style with sharp introspection and rich language will be excellent. Writers employ certain strategies to express their ideas and experiences in a meaningful way. It is these strategies that make stories last. Va. Tenappan has chosen suitable techniques for his work. The strategy is to convey the essence of the story and give shape and style to the story. To make a point soundly one must use appropriate techniques. The author exposes the energies and shortcomings of the character. The author's use of vernacular prose in his fiction exaggerates the quality and influence of the stories in the style of the work. In the works of Va. Tenappan the events that happened in his life, the events that happened in his relative's house and the events of his background, the urban community, are reflected in the fiction. Hence, this article is intended to observe his deep story writing skills, imaginative resources, conceptual clarity, the course of fiction, and his experience through select Va. Tenappan works with stylistic elements.
