Some general notes on the research problem

Abstract

Among the different categories which make up the research activity, the scientific problem occupies a preponderant place due to its particular relation with the rest of the components of that process. The aim of this article is to share with students and professionals who are beginning in the field of research some general necessary ideas for better research problem understanding as a category and in thus facilitating investigative activity learning. The ideas presented are the following: 1) Importance of the scientific problem in the research process, 2) the problem of practice and the scientific problem; 3) the elaboration of the research problem; and (4) the research problem and its scientific character.
