Environmental taxes and agriculture

Abstract

Although agriculture provides basic life and economic needs, it cannot be disregarded that it also creates negative environmental externalities. In this paper the author presents possibilities of their internalization trough tax on pesticides and tax on fertilizers, as well as analyses the ecological characteristics of taxes that burden farmers in the Republic of Serbia.
