ACTION AND OBSERVATION AS CONSTITUENT PARTS OF HUMAN EXISTENCE ONTOLOGY IN I. S. TURGENEV’S INTERPRETATION

Abstract

Within human ontology of I. S. Turgenev, both artist and theorist, two principal ways of attitude towards the being are functional: the actional (action, labour, deed) and the observational (reflexion, thought, aesthetic experience) ones. These ways of human’s cognitive attitude to the world constitute the foundation of the writer’s artistic and philosophic anthropology and define the axiological criteria of person’s depiction.
