READINESS OF THE PERPETRATORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TO REDRESS, AS A BASIS FOR PARTICIPATION IN MEDIATION AFTER A COURT SENTENCE

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of readiness to redress, among men serving prison sentences as perpetrators of domestic violence. The study applied the method of a diagnostic survey. The research results indicate that perpetrators of domestic violence are characterized by low levels of willingness to redress. The research is exploratory. However, it can be concluded that there is a need for social rehabilitation programs aimed at developing the readiness of perpetrators to compensate for domestic violence.
