The article attempts to show the key aspects of Bernard Stiegler’s pharmacological perspective focusing on digital technologies and their social effects. This not only implies a general description of several concepts involved by Stiegler’s thought during the last ten years (pharmakon, grammatization, individuation, control and symbolic misery), but also a renewal of Nietzsche's analysis on resentment and nihilism. Thus, the decision to introduce Deleuze’s reading of Nietzsche is to be considered as a further attempt to understand pharmacology in a more social engaged way than a Derridean one the cognitive capitalism as the rising of reactive forces within the “soul at work” that characterizes our present.
