Participação social e protagonismo: reflexões a partir das Conferências de Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente no Brasil

Abstract

This paper examines the children and youngpeople’s participation and protagonism rights basedon the Conferences on Children and AdolescentsRights’ experience in Brazil, based on childhoodsociology. Conferences’ documents were consultedon the Brazilian government websites. These studyfindings revealed that young people’s participationhas increased in the last conferences. However, itis necessary to promote a systematic and genuineparticipation through democratic relations constructionin all development contexts where childrenand adolescent live in order to modify their life andsociety participative practices.
