STUDIES ON HAIR PRODUCTION CHARACTERISTICS IN CAMEL IN AN ORGANISED FARM

Abstract

A total of 193 camels (Camelus dromedarious} belonging to the National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner were taken and data were meticulously recorded from 3 elite breeds (Bikaneri, Jaisalmeri and Kachchhi} from S different age groups (1, 2, 3, 4-6 year and above 6 year). The data were analyzed using mixed mode least squares and maximum likelihood computer programme to study the effect of breed, age and sex of camel on hair yield characteristics.
