Rationnaliser l’architecture du monde agricole : Siracourt, village pilote de la Reconstruction (1946-1951)
Abstract
The 20th century world wars have been transformed architectural landscapes of countries in northern France. In cities as in villages, the tabula rasa made by bombings has led urbanists and architects, encouraged by the politic of the French ministry of reconstruction, to make new experiments. Siracourt was a pilot-village, visited and appreciated by Eugène Claudius-Petit. It’as an example of the application, in rural environment, of modernist theories.
