Abstract

This paper consists of some notes aiming to work out the psychoanalytic practice with adolescent girls at the Núcleo de Estudos da Saúde do Adolescente (Center for the Study of Adolescent Health). To this end, it presents some contemporary psychoanalysts' contributions together with Freud and Lacan's ones. It tackles some symptoms that have frequently appeared in the analytic processes of young women and discusses the mother-daughter relationship. Finally, it seeks to demonstrate that psychoanalysts may learn from adolescent girls.
