Evidence-based health education for diabetic foot patients in Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing clinics (基于循证的脱疽中医护理门诊健康教育经验)

Abstract

Diabetic foot refers to the foot with a constellation of pathologic changes affecting the lower extremity in diabetics, often leading to amputation and/or death due to complications such as infection, ulceration and destruction of deep tissue. A project of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing clinics for diabetic foot was officially approved in October, 2017, and a combination of evidence-based nursing by Best Practice in the Assessment and Management of Diabetic Foot Ulcers and Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques was generated for the nursing and health education interventions on target patients. (糖尿病足是糖尿病患者由于合并下肢远端神经异常和不同程度的周围血管病变而导致的足部感染, 溃疡形成和(或)深层组织的破坏。糖尿病足归属中医“脱疽”“筋疽”范畴。医院2017年10月正式获批北京市中医管理局脱疽(糖尿病足)中医护理门诊项目, 将加拿大BPSO最佳实践指南应用中心《糖尿病足部溃疡的评估与管理最佳临床实践指南》的循证护理与中医护理技术相结合, 针对相应的教育人群, 运用循证指南制定出护理标准及健康教育。)
