Surgical treatment of funnel chest in children using titanium nickelide materials

Abstract

Reflects stages of funnel chest treatment in the Tomsk Region from 1977 to 2009 has been presented. The work provides analysis of surgical treatment of 78 patients, including 42 patients were operated by means of thoracoplasty with the following fixation of costosternal complex using previously chilled titanium nickelide plates, which have thermodynamic properties.
