The curriculum of Spanish Language and Literature (Secondary Education) is very important and prospective teachers should know. This article provides the analysis and reflection of the elements that compose. To make this work explains the aspects of the curriculum: epistemology, conceptual model, educational framework and constituent elements. The basic skills and attention to diversity are new aspects. The flexible curriculum allows to fit the reality of the classroom and contributes to the teaching and learning process to be successful.
