The article is devoted to the study of the export potential of agricultural products and their competitiveness in the foreign market. The peculiarities and dynamics of changes in the export and import of agro-food products are revealed and the main directions of development of the industry are taken into account, including the factors of global influence. The internal agrarian market by the level of provision of agricultural products, as well as the external market by the volume of export and import of agrarian products in Ukraine is investigated. The article substantiates and systematizes the indicator and competitiveness of agricultural food products. A comparative analysis of indices of relative competitive advantages for certain types of agricultural products, which provide an opportunity to assess their competitiveness in the global agricultural market was conducted.
