Insight is one of the main phases of the architectural design process. Throughout history, various methods have been used to address this crucial phase. In this study, a soundscape is proposed as a generator of project ideas. To explore this new approach, a teaching experience was carried out with architecture students and the results were analysed in terms of satisfaction and the designs that were generated. The results show the educational capacity of the method, the impact on subjective assessment of phenomena in the architectural environment and its applicability, regardless of the previous musical level of the students.
