User perception in relation to the presence of pathological events in facades: case study
Abstract
In Brazil, the growth of construction of social housing is rising, but this type of building has shown a lot of pathological manifestations, because this factor and the fact that the large number of residents that these house, this work aims to assess the pathological manifestations and user perception in relation to the facades of a development of social housing, located in the city of Pelotas / RS. To obtain the results, are used two research methodologies of Post-Occupancy Evaluation, the walkthrough for the identification of pathological manifestations, and structured interviews were used to check the users’ perceptions and their satisfaction. In technical analysis it was observed pathological manifestations of the facades, identifying cracks, humidity, dirt and deterioration of the coating. In the interview with users, most feel uncomfortable with the presence of pathological manifestations and have saw these in facades, considering the humidity that more draw attention the painting as a greater need for maintenance.
