Features of Ultrafine Fibers Made by Electrostatic Formation from Poly(3-Hydroxybutyrate)
Abstract
Results of construction and investigation of ultrafine fibers (UFF) made of resorbable poly(3 hydroxybutyrate) by electrostatic formation are presented in this study. Influence of concentration of polymer solutions on fiber diameters and physical-mechanical properties of nonwoven fabric (NF) was investigated. While concentration of polymer solutions increased from 2 to 8 % elongation at break of NF increased from 4,5 to 10,6 % and Young’s modulus decreased from 1,16 to 0,3 GPa. Murine fibroblasts NIH 3T3 were seeded on NF. Using DAPI staining and MTT assay UFF samples were estimated as good cell supporting carriers.
