Coverage analysis of millimeter-wave frequency sharing between fixed service and cellular systems by stochastic geometry
Abstract
The interference rejection estimation in frequency sharing between fixed service systems and cellular networks in the millimeter wave (mmWave) band is a crucial approach for 5G communication systems. While this approach has received considerable attention, general scenarios still require further exploration. In this paper, we propose a new methodology to evaluate the impact of interference from cellular networks on fixed service systems in the mmWave band. To assess the interference impact, we employ a coverage probability model and develop new theoretical expressions to calculate the coverage probability of the fixed service system in the presence of interference from a cellular system. Specifically, we provide the coverage probability of a fixed service system concerning a cellular system in downlink. Employing the obtained numerical results demonstrates an efficient analysis of the interference impact from a cellular network on a fixed service system, reducing the computational cost of evaluating the interference process between both systems.
