The present scientific article elucidates the complex historical-legal synergies developed in the context of increased interest for the Crimean Peninsula. Thus, the scientific analysis develops on an axological route and culminates with the legal framing of the act of annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, as well as with the application submitted by Ukraine to the International Court of Justice in 2017. Furthermore, in the conclusion of the present research are being presented relevant aspects for the in-depth understanding of the Transnistrian conflict in the Republic of Moldova through the Crimean case.
