EXPERIENCES REGARDING SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL PARKS ACROSS THE WORLD - THE CASE OF ROMANIA

Abstract

The economic literature regarding projects such as industrial parks or science and technology parks (STPs) is abundant and shows a diversity of approaches and practical experiences. This article makes a short inquiry through some recent papers presenting the various aspects that make the specificity of each country and then focuses on the Romanian experiences. Based on some information received from two of the Romanian STPs, the authors make observations and suggestions regarding their situation and the implication of public authorities.
