SOCIETAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF MODERN SOCIETIES: CASES OF FAMILY AND GENDER RELATIONS

Abstract

Purpose of the research is to analyze the process and the results of the societal transformation of modern societies in terms of changes in family and gender relations, and to determine the socio-cultural, economic, and demographic nature of these changes. Methodology. The methodological foundations of the research is an interdisciplinary approach based on socio-philosophical intentions combining sociological, economic, political, and demographic approaches to the discussed issue. Results. The research contains the author’s reflection on the process of transformation of modern societies from the standpoint of family and gender relations, which allows the author to propose recommendations for the authorities on the implementations of the outcome of societal transformations within power discourse. Practical implications. The results of the study can be used in the field of socio-political engineering to improve the efficiency of social and political measures aimed at supporting the family in contemporary Russian society.
