Probabilistic model for prestressed precast concrete T-beam

Abstract

This article evaluates the calculation of bending resistance to time of a prestressed precast concrete T-beam using a newlybuilt simple probabilistic model. Random input parameters of the model wereconsidered with the assumption of normal distributions. The Monte Carlo simulation technique is used with the presented numerical procedure to investigate the capacity of the prestressed precast T-beam. The results show that the proposed model is a credible evaluation of the calculation of the bending moment resistance of prestressed precast concrete T-beam.
