The Types of Texture of Clay Rocks of the Redstone Terrigenous Formation and their Influence on the Strength Properties

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the texture features of clay rocks of the Permian redstone terrigenous formation, the main types of textures were identified and their influence on the strength properties was revealed. Systematization of the findings allows us explaining the inwardness of the strength of the studied rocks and use it as a basis for their engineering-geological classification.
