Violência(s) no contexto escolar : as vozes dos professores.

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on school violence, based on the speeches of teachers, their views on the subject and the way they have been facing this problem in the cultural and educational daily procedures of teaching and learning process. Thus, from a qualitative research, it was sought to identify the causes of violence as well as the practices adopted by teachers in order to deal with it in the school environment. In the survey, it was used questionnaires with open questions applied to a universe of ten school teachers from Elementary public schools from the city of Naviraí/MS. The result points to a dissatisfaction of teachers at the lack of public policies for that matter. That is more evident when one considers that, generally, graduation courses do not adopt measures which could provide practices to deal with this problem for those teachers to be.
