The aim of the study is to analyze the evolution ofmale senior national team handball in WorldChampionship Sweden 2011 to determine thecauses that led to the lowest rank in the history ofparticipation in world championships.In analyzing the evolution of the Romanianhandball team in World Championship there wereused the observation methods (direct observationmethod or simply watching the matches) and thestatistical-mathematical method, having assupport statistics provided by the organizersthrough websites of the competition(http://www.handball2011.com/) and of theInternational Handball Federation (www.ihf.info).Low efficiency of 9 m line players and ofgoalkeepers, missed 7m shots in important gamesled to defeats in all confrontations with theEuropean teams.Another decisive factor was the low intake ofbackcourt (95 of 195 goals) and wings (24 of 195goals) the number of goals scored by the team.Weak physical training is also one of the causes oflow outcomes achieved, because once gettingfavorable scores or with very small differences tobreak, matches were lost by the end of the game.In all its 7 matches, Romania got 3 victories and 4defeats; World Champion, France, had 10matches, getting 9 wins and a draw and ViceWorld Champion, Denmark, won 9 games andlost one.As a result of the 7 games, there is a statistic: anaverage of 27,86 scored goals per game and 27,14received goals per game; for top teams, theaverage is the following: 31 scored goals/gameand 24 received goals/game.
