Pengembangan modul IPA tema pemanasan global untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi belajar

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul IPA dengan tema pemanasan global, untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan modul dalam meningkatkan kemandirian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi belajar peserta didik kelas VII. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Borg and Gall. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Randomized Subject, Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan.(1) Hasil validasi modul IPA tema pemanasan global yang dikembangkan mempunyai kategori baik dari ahli materi dan media, guru IPA dan teman sejawat menilai dengan kategori sangat baik, dan peserta didik menilai dengan kategori baik. (2) Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kemandirian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi belajar antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Hasil observasi dan angket kemandirian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi belajar peserta didik pada kelompok eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, menunjukkan pembelajaran modul IPA yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi belajar peserta didik. Developing A Module Of Science with the Theme of Global Warming to Improve the Self-Regulated Learning and Communication Skill Abstract This study aimed to develop a module of science with the theme of Global Warming, to identify the appropriateness and effectiveness of the of module in improving the self-regulated learning and communication skill of the seventh grade students. This research and development study employed the Borg and Gall's model. This was an experimental research design with randomized subjects by using the pre-test and post-test control group design. The result of the study showed that (1) the evaluation of the modul of science from the expert of materials and media was good,while from the teacher of science and colleagues was very good and the evaluation from the students was good; (2) the results of the multivariate analysis showed a difference of self-regulated learning and skills learning to communicate between the experimental group and the control group. The results of observation and questionnaire of the self-regulated learning and communication skills of the students at the experimental group was better than the control group. The result showed that the module of science was appropriate as learning media to improve the self-regulated learning and communication skill.
