The Ecuadorian banana has been recognized at the global level for its quality and quantity produced, being one of the main products that the agricultural industry of this nation has contributed, for this reason, the aim of this research was to propose strategies to improve the international competitiveness of the banana sector in Colombia based on the example of Ecuador, considering that both countries share similar cultivation conditions, but differentiated processes with structures focused on regulation and quality. The methodology used was of a qualitative type, with a documentary method and with a descriptive and propositional scope, as it proposes, under the use of systemic competitiveness, strategies to position the Colombian banana in the international market. As a main result, its acted upon from the micro level of competitiveness through actions focused on new technologies, labor, international markets, and production processes.
