Explorer la matérialité d’un élément discret
Abstract
We are surrounded by air since we were born. However, because of its invisibility, it is often associated with emptiness, depriving it of any material dimension. Using a specific case from an ongoing study in the Estaque district of Marseille, this article explores the ways in which air can be given substance through inhabitant experience. The aim is to understand how residents imagine air and how they represent it on paper, with the help of a mediation process designed to think about the element "air" in a sensitive, embodied way. Far from limiting us to this element, air serves as a starting point for thinking about our relationship with the world, and highlights affective and political relationships specific to shared spaces.
