Le chercheur, la caméra et l’organisation

Abstract

In this article, we give an analysis of the work of researchers who circulate in multiple sites with a camera. By observing a company of land surveyors in situation, we identify the techniques and strategies implemented in situ by researchers in order to account for the organizational actors' real activity within different spatio-temporal frameworks. We show how capturing an "organizational reality" in multiple sites and temporalities is based on interpretive choices made in context and involve specific filming techniques.
