Periampullary region tumors are the tumors which develop from around 2 cm of Vater's ampulla, originating from the head of the pancreas, bile ducts, duodonum and Vater's ampulla. Adenomas are the most common tumors of this region. Although endoscopic papillectomy is a high-risk procedure, it has largely replaced surgery for adenomatous lesions of this region. In this case report, we discussed the operation and results of snare papillectomy in our patient which presented with abdominal pain and jaundice and was diagnosed villous adenoma by endoscopy and biopsy.
