Abstract

As stated in the anonymous work History of the Blessed Magdalene, published in 1514, it was Isabel the Catholic who commissioned a first manuscript version. This paper studies the part of the text that is linked to the promotion of the queen, valuing its contents from a political perspective and showing how a female political subject is built on it. It could be said that the queen participated in the Querelle des Femmes as a defender of the female sex.
