Abstract

Abstract The recent book by Sandro Schipani, invites legal scholars and, in particular, Roman law scholars, to reflect upon its role and impact. Therefore, we will address the development and diffusion of Roman law, focusing on the authors who contributed to the evolution of this field of law and on Roman law spreading all around the globe. Furthermore, we will consider the equalizing force of Roman law, its expan-sive capacity, and its potential to promote peace within and between nations.
