The purpose of the work is to determine the significance and features of the organizational economic mechanism for stimulating entrepreneurial activity in the tourist industry. The paper is a theoretical-empirical study.The article analyzes various points of view to the definition of the concept of «organizational- economic mechanism», identified features and the main elements of the organizational-economic mechanism for stimulating entrepreneurial activity.The result of the research was the development of a model of the organizational-economic mechanism for stimulating entrepreneurial activity in tourism.The field of application of the research results is the activity of the subjects of the tourist industry. The result of the organizational-economic mechanism will be the improvement of the quality of the provided tourist services, stability of demand for tourist services, which will lead to an increase in the share of inbound and domestic tourism in Kazakhstan and as a result of profitability in the industry. The development of the tourist industry will provide jobs, and hence the socio-economic stability in the regions.
