Les données malacologiques en contexte archéologique
Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the methodological practices used for the study of malacological data collected in archaeological context, from the sampling strategy to the methods of descriptive statistics enabling to analyse the faunal assemblages. Case studies from northern France and, more broadly, from northern Europe, are presented to demonstrate the interest of the malacological indicator for the reconstruction of palaeoenvironments at different spatial and temporal scales.
