``Double Check Reflective Artistic Cycle’ (CARDC): The proposition of a methodological tool in the field of Artistic Research

Abstract

This article consists of a study in the field of artistic research that proposes the application of a specific methodological tool for the construction of an interpretation, based on the study of works by the composer Flausino Valle (1894-1954). The focus is on the observation of the process, with consideration of technical and musical issues and with the aim of systematizing and proposing a replicable theoretical-methodological tool. From the Practice as Research (PaR), structured in a path with two cycles of data collection, use of the reflective diary and the analysis through the autoethnographic method, we sought to capture, describe, analyze and, finally, systematize, the process application of strategies for the development of the interpretation of the works. The methodology chosen for the construction of the interpretation proved to be collaborative to the self-reflexive and self-regulatory stimulus and generated a methodological tool.
