Bloqueadores del calcio: Un problema actual
Abstract
El propósito de este trabajo fue revisar 3 artículos que de forma implícita condenaban el uso de los bloqueadores del calcio, los hacían responsables de un significativo aumento de la mortalidad cardiovascular. Se discutieron los artículos, se compararon con otros resultados de investigaciones realizadas en relación con estos fármacos y se demostró que lo encontrado con la nifedipina de acción corta no es aplicable a otros bloqueadores de los canales del calcio. Se concluyó con proposiciones de drogas, de este grupo farmacológico, más eficaces y seguras.The aim of this work was the review of three articles disapproving in an implicit manner the use of the calcium channel blockers, making them responsible for a significant increase of cardiovascular mortality. The articles were discussed, compared with other results from investigations related to these drugs, and it was demonstrated that what was found with the short action nifedipine is not applicable to other calcium channel blockers. It was concluded with propositions of more efficient and safe drugs from this pharmacological group.
