The analysis of factors responsible for sleep quality

The aim of the study was to evaluate the behavior and habits of sleep. The cause of sleep disorders can be financial problems, depression and anxiety, cigarettes, coffee, alcohol or chronic diseases. The study found the most common mistakes in sleep hygiene. The study included 122 participants. In the study group, 60,7% of respondents were females whereas 39,3% were males. The age of participants ranged from 17 to 53 years. The study conducted in the period from November 2016 to January 2017 and it employed standardized interview research method. Research tool, which was used for data collection was a questionnaire consisted of 18 questions single-choice questions and 4 open questions. Statistical analysis was performed using the chi-square test. All values for which p <0.05 (probability of error) were considered statistically significant. Respondents were asked about education, hygiene knowledge, hygiene practice, family sleep disorders. Respondents answered for questions about the quality of sleep. There were 71.3% of respondents have variable and irregular duration of fall asleep, 68.9% of them were female (p <0.05). On the other hand, variable and irregular duration of fsleep affects 52.5% of respondents, 37.5% of them have shift work. The most commonly reported sleep problem was fatigue after waking up (64.8% of respondents). Not much less because 57.4% of respondents feel drowsy during the day, more often respondents who did not consume coffee. 23.8% of respondents reported nighttime waking and falling asleep. Morning sickness is reported by 42.6% of respondents in the early morning, the problem was more common among women. Among the causes of sleep disorders were: stress, daytime abuse of coffee, personal problems, work or school problems, high levels of noise, smoking, watching TV late at night, using the Internet, increased physical activity in the evening, frequent night science, the presence of chronic illness. As many as 43.4% of respondents periodically take sedative medications OTC because of sleep problems. 7.4% responders went to physician because of sleep problems.
