Teachers have a very strategic role in producing quality future generations. Teachers have a very vital position because they are agents of change, meaning the agents or main figures who are most influential in improving the quality and quality of education in Indonesia. In some areas teachers often get intimidation and even have to spend time in prison due to disciplinary sanctions for students at school. This research method uses qualitative methods with a normative juridical approach method that is elaborating between library studies and legislation studies by presenting field data. The results of the discussion confirmed that the teacher has a very strategic position and has an important role so that the authority of the teacher must be returned accordingly and must be able to protect the teacher as an educator. In the new regulation, it must be stated about the role of the government in providing legal assistance to the government, the limits on the extent to which teachers can impose sanctions, the right to immunity for teachers who sanction children/students, regulate existing provisions harmonized with the Law concerning Child Protection and others that can support the provision of legal protection to teachers.
