DESIGN TRENDS OF GLASS BALUSTERS ACCORDING TO FIXING CONSIDERATIONS

Abstract

REQUIREMENTS FOR DESIGN AND MASS PRODUCTION OF GLASS BALUSTERSIntroduction:: the glass balustrades is considered one of the most important architectural elements whether for internal architecture or external architecture and everyone find it around (stairs, balconies, windows, etc.) so it is very important to study it to reach the requirements and consideration to design, produce and fix the glass balustrades.in that research we have focused on the fixing of that product and production consideration that follow this process(fixing) as one of the most important requirements to design glass balustrades>The research showed some of basic evidences which are necessary for stair design process and therefore balustrades design process, it showed too several ways to produce the created units of balustrades each of them suits one of design trends in addition to clarification the fixing ways for both of them. so it was necessary to study the following items:- : the stair as an Architectural element and its supplements.- glass balustrade (its uses- production method-fixing ways)- : design and production of glass balusters.As to the results of the research: -- Reach out determination the production requirements of glass balustrades for three design trends which were created by the researcher to fix it whether on floor or stair.- Reach out glass balustrades fixing methods in several ways suits balustrade design and its dimensions.- determination some of basic evidences in stair design which effect on balustrade design.- Reach out determination glass balustrade design consideration for mass production.
