Técnicas de amplificatio en el Muqtabis de Ibn Hayyan

Abstract

Analysis of how the tenth century Cordovan chronicler Ibn Hayyan(987-1076) textually treated the passages which he copied from elder authors toelaborate his Muqtabis. From the study of the transmission of three texts frombiographical dictionaries emerges that Ibn Hayyan rhetorically amplified thetexts he reproduced.
