The purpose of the study is to understand the impact of Android implementation on a person, social relations and sociocultural communications of changes occurring in society and culture. Understanding androids as new, “advanced” dolls, allows us to use the concept of “puppet theater of life” as a research strategy. This concept is a part of a broader concept of theatricality of socio-communicative manifestations of culture. Comparison of social life with a puppet theater, where people are puppets created and controlled by gods, Destiny, etc., has a long tradition in philosophical thought since antiquity. It has been shown that this mythology gives rise to a double world perception: 1) it reflects the person’s perception of himself as a puppet in the “theater” of life; 2) when making dolls, man himself becomes like the Creator. This perception of the world has been preserved and completed in modern culture. Feeling like a puppet in the “theater” of life does not prevent a person from being at the same time a spectator in this “theater”, his critic, and – most importantly – his interpreter. The emergence of new “dolls” –androids –contributes to the formation of a new, biotechnocybernetic, “puppet theater” of being. In this theater, androids are similar to puppets in their functions, only the control system of these “puppets” is more complex. This system has complicated gradually. As a result, robots of new generations are created consistently – industrial robots, robots with feelings (with various sensors), robots with artificial intelligence. Features of all these generations embodied in androids form a new set design, drama and semantic content of the “theater” of life. Now this “theater” sets new formats of social relations and communications, necessitates the determination of new values and norms, makes us think about the future role of human in the new naturalartificial reality. In this “theater” a person finds additional opportunities for knowing himself, nature and the essence of his being in the world.
