Detection method of interharmonic pairs-caused voltage peak fluctuation flicker

Interharmonics of high frequency will cause voltage’s peak value fluctuation, which will result in flicker of fluorescent lamp and LED lamp. To realize accurate evaluation of the flicker, a method based on multiresolution S-transform is proposed to detect the voltage’s peak value fluctuation flicker. An extracting method of voltage’s peak value for “interharmonic pairs” is proposed, the principle of S-transform is introduced, and a calculation method for the peak value fluctuation flicker effect based on multiresolution S-Transform is proposed. The flicker detection platform based on the proposed method is implemented in LabVIEW, and the validity of the proposed method is testified by the simulation experiments.
