"Health Action" Program is a Universidade Federal do Amazonas - UFAM project in partnership with the Communitarian Radio "A voz das Comunidades" 87,9 FM. Transmitted every Saturday, lasting 90 minutes, "Health Action" was consolidated as a proposal in health education and has keeping its main objective: take information on health, environment and well-being to north and east communities of Manaus-Amazonas, in a simple and clear way so that everyone can understand. Currently, it is presented by Pharmacy, Medicine and Psychology scholars that weekly get together to search and prepare the programs. "Health Action" brought to the listeners subjects related to mouth health, vaccines, agricultural poison, dengue, hansenosis, physical activity, cancer, water pollution, environment, and so on. The aim is to help health protection, promotion and recovery. The listener could participate alive by making questions by telephone. The project promoted the adjustment between scholars and the community and little by little conquered the inhabitants' credibility. That's why it has been on for six years. It is always committed in educational campaigns (Dengue Combat, AIDS, Rubeola etc.). The program consolidated one of UFAM's mission: combine themselves with the community and spread knowledge with quality.
