Categorization of Target Groups as an Agricultural Extension Survival Policy: A Case Study of the Yam Minisett Technology in South -Eastern Nigeria
Abstract
This study examined the organization and process of agricultural technology transfer to target groups using the yam minisett technology as an example. The result shows that categorization of agricultural technology recipients into users and non users is possible. The conclusion is that targeting technology transfer effort on those who need and can use the technology is a policy option for the survival of agricultural extension systems in Nigeria.
