Frost penetration in the bases of the foundations of buildings and constructions: reasons and consequences

Abstract

In article the factors promoting emergence of forces of a frosty swelling of soil, and also ways of counteraction to forces of a frosty swelling are considered. The practical examples of consequences of negative influence of forces of a frosty swelling of soil on the bases and elevated designs of buildings revealed at tool and technical inspections was analysed. Recommendations about preservation of the bases from frost penetration and to ensuring stability of the bases of buildings and constructions on action of efforts of a swelling of soil are provided.
