THE CONSONANT DROPS, ITS REASONS AND VARIETIES IN TURKISH
Abstract
The consonant drops not being the basic sounds of Turkish as the main reasons of the consonant drops in Turkish are of three basic reasons such as the drops occuring while taking the foreing words by making them appropriate into the language structure, the drops of Turkish main consonants in the formation of the dialect, accent and mouths depending on the social preferences and the drops depending on the sound features.With respect to the case of the dropped consonants; the permanent drops show the drops reflected to the writtrn languages, the temporary drops show the ones seen at mounths and changable ones from region to region in a written language. Both types of the drops are seen in Turkish o lot.With respect to the places of dropped consonant in Turkish, the consonant drops are seen et the beginning, in middle andat the end of the word, and at the beginning and at the end of the affixes.
