Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan seberapa besar: (1) pengaruh motivasi kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru; (2) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru; dan (3) pengaruh motivasi kerja guru dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru di kabupaten Biak Numfor, Papua. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru sekolah dasar di kabupaten Biak Numfor. Sampel terdiri dari 72 guru yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk ketiga variabel adalah menggunakan kuesioner (angket). Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian korelasi (correlation research). Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) secara parsial terdapat pengaruh positif sedang dan signifikan dari motivasi kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru, (2) secara parsial terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. (3) terdapat pengaruh yang positif kuat dan signifikan dari motivasi kerja guru dan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru di kabupaten Biak Numfor. The Effects of Teachers’ Work Motivation and Principal’s Leadership Style on The Performance of Teachers in The Regency of Biak Numfor, Papua Abstract This study aimed to investigate: (1) the effect of teachers’ work motivation on their perfor­mance, (2) the effect of principals’ leadership style on teachers’ performance, and (3) the effect of teachers’ work motivation and principals’ leadership style as an aggregate on the performance of teachers in the Regency of Biak Numfor, Papua. The population of this research comprised all teachers in elementary schools in the Regency of Biak Numfor. The sample, consisting of 72 teachers, was selected by means of the purposive sampling technique. The technique to collect the data on the three variables was a questionnaire. This was correlation research. The results of this research can be concluded that: (1) partially there was a significant, moderate, and positive effect of teachers’ work motivation on their performance; (2) partially there was an insignificant, weak, and positive effect of principals’ leadership style on teachers’ performance; and (3) there was a significant, strong, and positive effect of teachers’ work motivation and principals’ leadership style as an aggregate on the performance of teachers of elementary schools in the Regency of Biak Numfor.
