REPERE ALE COOPERĂRII ROMÂNO-CHINEZE ÎN A DOUA JUMĂTATE A SEC. XX: RELAȚIILE POLITICO-DIPLOMATICE
Abstract
The article represents a synthesis of the relevant moments in the evolution of the politico-diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic/Socialist Republic of Romania from the second half of the 20th century. Divided into four distinct sections, the article will first identify the establishment of the first Romanian-Chinese bilateral contacts, after which it will capture the circumstances and factors that determined the initiation and consolidation of Romanian-Chinese cooperation. Thirdly, the article will address Romania's position in the Sino-Soviet controversy that played an important role near Bucharest to Beijing and will finally highlight the contexts in which Romanian-Chinese solidarity was manifested.
