Grafite e Patrimônio: tensões entre o efêmero e o permanente na intervenção do “Armazém Vieira” em Florianópolis, Brasil
Abstract
The graffiti is a starring protagoni st in the contemporary city that talks about the variety of ways in public spaces are appropriate, and revealing at the same time, the multi plicity of social dynamics that underlie urban space. Taki ng i nt o account the different rel ationships that this form of visual communicati on established with the city today, the ai m is to discuss the i nterface between it and the heritage. T he l atter is assumed as a pri vil eged category in the construction of meanings about the history of a place, and as a reference of the culture and identity of a social group. In this sense, i t is presented as a case study the intervention wi th graffiti in the Armazem Vieira in F lorianopol is in 2013 in order to examine the tensi on between the past and the present in view of (re) si gni fication of places, questioning the role of heri tage as singl e representation of identity, and undeniable reference of a place, i ts people and its culture.
