Disuguaglianze variazionali: una presentazione a carattere elementare

Abstract

The theory of Monotone Operators can be developped in various ways, but almost any presentation requires the use of some “fine” results of Functional Analysis (like the Brower’s fixed point Theorem, or the Ky Fan’s Lemma). We want to give here a treatment requiring only the Weierstrass Theorem and the characterization of compacts sets through the “finite intersection” property.
